As part of the development of its mission-critical IoT offering, Swissphone has realised a Proof of Concept with the Swiss energy company Axpo for the monitoring of electricity network pole disconnectors. The Proof of Concept is based on the ETSI-standardised LPWAN technology mioty from Fraunhofer IIS. To validate the performance of mioty, additional sensors from Comtac AG were integrated, and test drives at over 120km/h were undertaken.
