The networking of objects in the Internet of Things is becoming increasingly important, and the demand for connected IoT devices is growing rapidly. Until now, there has been a lack of suitable, reliable communication that can transmit many thousands of data packets at the same time.

Our research team Prof. Michael Schlicht, Josef Bernhard und Dr. Gerd Kilian from the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS has solved this challenge with mioty®. For their achievement, they receive the Joseph von Fraunhofer Prize, which is awarded to employees of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for their outstanding scientific achievements in solving application-oriented problems.
