Stadtwerke Garbsen: Testing the functionality of mioty
April 27, 2021
As part of a pilot phase, Stadtwerke Garbsen is currently testing the functionality of mioty. The initial experiences in terms of robustness and reliability are very good. The selection of the radio location and the associated radio network planning are a decisive prerequisite for this.
In the next phase of the PoC, the goal is to test a specific use case. For this purpose, Stadtwerke Garbsen contacted some sensor manufacturers via the mioty alliance. In this phase, it is important to scale the number of sensors and to be able to offer the user an added value. For this step, they are currently focusing on the topic of CO2 and smart waste.
Furthermore, Stadtwerke Garbsen feels a great willingness among the manufactures to “miotyze” existing LPWAN sensors. The response from outside has also been very positive. Stadtwerke Garbsen receives inquiries about their pilot from interested colleagues outside of the industry.
