To prove mioty’s successful technology and demonstrate its functionality virtually to the audience of the Fraunhofer Price Lounge, which took place in Berlin at the beginning of May, some preparations had to be made in advance.

Together with the mioty alliance partner AGVOLUTION, a Fraunhofer team installed one of our mioty sensors on a field in the Knoblauchsland region in Nuremberg. In cooperation with AGVOLUTION the mioty sensor enables regional sensor data soil monitoring in an easy, cost effective and time saving manner. The use of water can be decreased to the exact levels needed and also nitrate pollution can be reduced while using mioty.

To demonstrate this functionality virtually, data was accessed and shown live via mobile phone. The demonstration was filmed and transmitted from Nuremberg to Berlin in real-time.

The award winners figuratively represented mioty’s reliable coverage of large areas, its solar powered low energy consumption and made its safety clear. Through the technology, the added new value comes in terms of low costs, easy accessed gained information and of course efficiency.
