A Gathering of Innovation

The mioty Days are the annual meeting of the Technical Committee of the mioty alliance, open to all members of the mioty alliance. This year’s edition took place in Waischenfeld, Germany on 12-13 May 2026, bringing together the community’s brightest technical minds for an inspiring and hands‑on exchange.

Spotlight on mioty Certification

This year’s central theme was the mioty Certification, as the Technical Committee released the new Certification Specification for review. On site, participants experienced a complete certification test setup, with DeviceLAB and Fraunhofer IIS demonstrating tests for both End Points and Base Stations. Attendees were also invited to bring their own devices and run certification tests directly on their hardware.

One of the standout moments was the base station capacity test. Within minutes, the system received 10,000 telegrams, with live radio‑channel activity displayed on screen. This performance is part of the mioty Base Station Certification, ensuring every certified base station can handle 3.5 million uplink messages per day. It’s a powerful demonstration of the impressive scalability of the mioty technology.

Hands‑On Exchange and Deep Technical Insights

Some members showcased their mioty solutions at their booths, but the true essence of this year’s event was the open exchange among the technical experts of the mioty alliance. Technology updates, spontaneous deep‑dive sessions, and discussions on requested topics created a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.

During plug testing, participants connected End Points and Base Stations to various backends to validate interoperability. Fraunhofer also introduced an exciting new technology: mioty MultiConnect, enabling message transmission between base stations and paving the way for a mioty mesh network.

Community, Conversations, and Franconian Flavor

Beyond the technical program, the mioty community enjoyed plenty of time to connect informally - over a social dinner and Franconian beer. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the strong sense of collaboration and shared purpose that defines the mioty days.

Looking Ahead

We are already looking forward to next year’s mioty days. As a member of the mioty alliance, you should absolutely consider sending your technical contact to the next edition to gain deeper insights into mioty and its growing ecosystem.
