Who Is mioty® – Insights From the Inside: Delphine Wagner
May 7, 2026

The mioty editorial team (met) asked someone who had been with mioty from the very beginning: Delphine Wagner, supports the mioty Alliance.
met: What is your role at the mioty Alliance and how can members reach you?
Delphine: My role is to support Annalena in her work on the alliance’s Marketing Committee. In practical terms, I help to organize events such as the Global Summits and the trade shows we attend. Mainly, on the logistics and design side. Members can reach me by email (delphine.wagner@mioty-alliance.com)
met: Talking IoT, what initially sparked your passion for the Internet of Things?
Delphine: When I discovered connected water meters! I used to work for a construction company. We were starting to talk about home automation, but it was still fairly simple to understand.
When I arrived at Diehl Metering in 2019, I had to carry out a campaign on remote meter reading. And because I hate talking about a subject I don’t understand, I did a lot of research into radio technologies, from their creation to the most recent innovations. But where I really started to find this subject fascinating was when I met our experts, our engineers, who are out in the field with our customers, and can talks hours about their job !
met: What do you enjoy outside of work that keeps you curious and creative?
Delphine: I’m involved in several associations. I meet a lot of people, and I take part in several projects involving meetings, conferences and evening events. Working together and being open to others helps me a lot.
met: If you could place a sensor anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Delphine: On the back of a whale! To follow its movements and find out about the quality of the water in which it swims and its biodiversity.
met: What is your favorite superpower of the mioty® technology?
Delphine: I think it’s brilliant that we’ve thought of splitting the data packets to ensure reliable data transmission. It seems so simple, and yet we had to think of it and implement it.
met: Delphine, what brought you to mioty, and what do you feel you really bring to the alliance?
Delphine: I joined the alliance in 2021 because my colleague no longer had time for it and she could see that I had a good understanding of technology-related subjects. So, it was a bit of a coincidence. The thing I love most about this job in the mioty alliance is meeting fascinating people from other sectors. I’m very, very curious, and I really enjoy understanding their challenges, their difficulties and their successes. Everything that makes us ask questions and look together for solutions to talk about our business in the best possible way.
Talking about challenges, opportunities, solutions, and wins – if that’s your thing too, come join us at the mioty Global Summit, May 20th, 2026. We’re excited to hear your insights, perspectives, and opinions.
